Week 8 - Cut-scenes

The cut-scenes are very important in our game.
It reinforces the immersion and energize the narrative.
That is why it must be well scripted and contain quite a lot of details.
Here is nn example of a cut-scene, the encounter with the Devil :

After the death of his wife, the hero gets a work-stop. The player plays for the first time at home. He decides to go out for a ride (this is an opportunity for the player to become familiar with the motion control).
Walking down the street, the hero recognizes the man who executed his wife, he realizes it and starts a chase. We see the demon go into an abandoned building. The hero falls and loses track of him. Suddenly the lights go out. A flame light up around the hero (as hell) and a voice speaks to the hero.
This one said sarcastically that he is sorry for the loss of his wife. He then proposes a deal; to do a few things in exchange for his wife’s life to be returned.
The hero refuses in an insulting voice. This last is silent. Then in a terrible rage, screaming, "You think you have a choice? If you plan to get out of here alive and see your wife, you must accept the conditions. Oh, and if you think death is preferable to think all the suffering that I could inflict on you and your wife.".
The hero panics and accepts the deal. The flames disappear, and the devil appears to the hero (in the form of a man in a suit). The devil smiles at the hero and gives him his hand. The hero hesitates but accepts the handshake. The devil tells him in a happy and casual voice that he made the right choice. He snaps his fingers, the screen goes black. Then the hero wakes up at home.
